HISTORY OF NEPTUNE CYCLES

Neptune is the planet of intuition, empathy, creativity and imagination but also escapism and self-undoing. It idealises things and it can bring disappointment when collective ideals, dreams and illusions prove unsustainable, deceptive or destructive. This post outlines each Neptune transit from Aries-Pisces and summarises the significant world events that happened.



Neptune in Aries:


Neptune in Aries idealised the notions of nobility, strength, courage, masculinity and independence. These transits marked a time when violence and conflict was glamourised as exemplified by the American Civil War and Reconstruction. This placement brought individualistic idealism, impulsive dreams and the notion of the spiritual warrior.

1861-1875:


13th April 1861 - 1st October 1861.
14th February 1862 - 8th June 1874.
30th September 1874 - 7th April 1875.

13th April 1861: Neptune entered Aries the day after the American Civil War began with an attack by Confederate troops on Fort Sumter in South Carolina. This was a sea fort, (Aries = conflict, Neptune =  ocean). The American Civil War was fought over slavery. Around 620,000 were killed.

17th May 1861: whilst photography did already exist at this stage, the first coloured photograph was made using the three-colour method (Aries represents “firsts”).

31st March 1862: Victor Hugo published Les Misérables, a story about compassion/sacrifice (Neptune) and revolution (Aries).

4th November 1862: the Gatling Gun was created, one of the fastest weapons that was used during the American Civil War (Aries = conflict).

1st January 1863: the Emancipation Proclamation was issued by President Abraham Lincoln, this declared that all enslaved people in Confederate states were free, (Neptune = dissolved boundaries, Aries = freedom).

November 1865: Lewis Caroll published Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. This combined Neptunian themes of fantasy, imagination and creativity with Aries independence and passion.

6th December 1865: slavery was abolished and the Civil Rights Act meant that ex-slaves gained full citizenship in 1866, (Neptune = empathy, Aries = autonomy).

24th December 1865: The Ku Klux Klan was formed this year. This aimed to protect religious ideals (Neptune) using extreme violence and aggression (Aries).

1866: Dynamite was discovered by the Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel, an explosive device and a weapon of war, Neptune = chemicals, Aries = violence).

December 1866: Fyodor Dostoevsky published Crime and Punishment, psychological perspective (Neptune) of the individual (Aries).

1869: Tolstoy published War and Peace, (Aries = war, Neptune = peace).

1861 - 1871: The unification of Italy happened. Before this, Italy was fragmented into different kingdoms and territories, the country was unified into a single nation by 1871. The vision of unity (Neptune) was made a reality via courage and determination (Aries).

19th July 1870 - 28th January 1871: the Franco-Prussian War occurred, a short war (Aries) between France and Prussia (now Germany) which led to the unification (Neptune) of Germany and the French empire.

18th January 1871: the German states unified into a single German Empire led by Prussia. The dream of unity (Neptune) was built on blood and war (Aries) and would influence world politics for the next century.

Neptune in Taurus:


Neptune in Taurus idealised beauty, luxury, wealth, economic systems and art. These transits marked a period in which land ownership was romanticised. This was demonstrated by the Scramble for Africa and the Berlin Conference, this was idealised but led to colonisation and genocide. This placement brought earthy idealism and a belief that finance, land and material conquest could bring civilisation progress.


1875-1889:


8th June 1874 - 30th September 1874.
7th April 1875 - 16th August 1887.
20th September 1887 - 26th May 1888.

The Long Depression (ended March 1879): This was a worldwide price and economic recession. This was the most severe financial crisis in both Europe and the United States, this happened after a period of strong economic growth due to the Second Industrial Revolution. Neptune shattered confusion and idealism around monetary systems and land ownership. Rural populations are farmers were especially affected.

15th July 1876: The Socialist Labour Party of America was formed, this led to increased Marxist movements across Europe. This created disillusionment regarding capitalist exploitation of labour and land. It demanded for workers' rights (Taurus) driven by ideology (Neptune).

11th January - 4th July 1879: The Anglo-Zulu was fought between British Empire forces and the Zulu Kingdom which was the monarchy of South Africa. European imperialists idealized (Neptune) Africa as a land of wealth and prosperity. This was based in illusion (Neptune) around land and resources (Taurus).

November 1884 - February 1885: The Berlin conference involved European states who formalised claims to African territories during the Scrambe for Africa. These European power sought to expand their empires and gain control over resources (Taurus). This conference led to agreements on trade, navigation and effective occupation.

8th May 1886: Coca-Cola was first introduced in Atlanta, Georgia by Dr John Pemberton, a pharmacist. This actually contained cocaine. Neptune is associated with drugs whilst Taurus rules food, consumption and indulgence.

8th February 1887: The Dawes act built Native Americans into US society by dividing tribal lands into individual plots. It aimed to make room for reservation land for sale to white settlers. This act was held on lofty ideals (Neptune) and in reality led to a signficant loss of land. Neptunian delusded notions of property, ownerships and civilization of the natural world (Taurus).

Neptune in Gemini:

Neptune in Gemini idealised communication, media, knowledge and ideology. These transits marked times in which information exchange was glamourised. The Second Industrial Revolution, mass journalism and telegraphy culminated in Marconi's invention of the radio in 1895. This placement brought a belief that information and curiosity would unify society.


1889-1902:


16th August 1887 - 20th September 1887.
26th May 1888 - 19th July 1901.
25th December 1901 - 21st May 1902.

22nd November 1891: Edward Bernay's was born, he was labelled "the father of public relations" and he idealised (Neptune) education and intellect (Gemini).

28th December 1885: The Lumiére brothers presented projected moving pictures for the first time in Paris. The Cinématographe was used as a camera, projector and film printer to show short films. This was noted as the birth of cinema as a public form of entertainment.

1896: Sigmund Freud established psychoanalysis, this explored unconscious processes in the human brain and how they influence conscious thought, emotion and behaviour. This was a new clinical method and underlying theories. This was a therapeutic method (Neptune) to understand the human psyche (Gemini) better.

21st June 1889: William Friese-Greene issued the chronophotographic camera, this was capable of taking up to 10 pictures per second by using a perfortated celluloid film. William Dickson produced a 3 second scene in which he moved his hat and reached out his other hand.

1890: A series of theaters called the Vaudeville Circuit entertaned audiences. Performances included comedy sketches, song and dance, magic acts, and acrobatics. Neptune glamourised playfulness and comical word play in avoidance of boredom (Gemini).

5th May - 31st October 1893: During the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, the above became one of the first moving pictures shown to the public. This was a celebration of the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's American arrival.

1900: The Souls group was formed in the United Kingdom, this was a social and intellectual group known for gatherings based on witty conversation and philosophical discussions. Gemini is an air sign associated with intellect, communication and the mind.

12th December 1901: Marconi successfully transmitted a radio signal (Gemini) across open sea (Neptune). This message was sent from Flat Holm Island to Lavernock Point in the Bristol Channel. This revealed illustrated the ability for wireless communication and paved future developments of radio and other modern wireless technologies. Gemini is associated with Radio and communication devices.

Neptune in Cancer:


Neptune in Cancer idealised the homeland, security, ancestry and family. These transits marked periods in which protectionism and ancestral roots were glamourised. Nationalism, tribal loyalty and emotional rhetoric fueled World War One which began in 1914. This placement spread the idea that the home is sacred.


1902-1915:


19th July 1901 - 25th December 1901.
21st May 1902 - 23rd September 1914.
14th December 1914 - 19th July 1915.
19th March 1916 - 2nd May 1916.

Early 1900s: There was significant wave of immigration to the United States and other Western countries. This connects to Cancerian themes of seeking safety, security and protection.

Early 1900s: Social security systems began in many countries. This illustrated the importance of protection and support for citizens in these regions. This reflected Cancerian security.

1901-1904: The British National Antarctic Expedition happened, this was the first exploration on land in Antarctic, this was led by Robert Falcon Scott. Cancer is a water sign, it can therefore be associated with the ocean.

1906: Woman's suffrage movements across the United Kingdom began to gain traction. By this year, the sentiment moved in favour of women's surrage. The Women's Social and Political Union was formed, this was the stage at which their militant campaign began.

8th August 1906: National Parks were first established in the United States. The US Antiquities Act fits Cancerian themes of preservation and protection. Land was perceive as the countries home and sanctuary, a place for safety and security.

10th July 1908: George Melies revealed his short film named 'A Trip to the Moon', this included a rocket ship and it included the Man in the Moon who was given a black eye. Neptune rules cinema and fantasy whilst the Moon rules Cancer.

Began 28th July 1914: World War One started after Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. There was a huge loss of life due to European powers being pitted against each other. This war brought grief (Neptune) pertaining to extreme nationalism and emotional toll (Cancer).

8th February 1915: D.W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation was released, this was criticised since it included the Klan saving America. This demonstrated how appealing to human emotion (Cancer) reached its height during this time.

Neptune in Leo: exalted position


Neptune in Leo idealised glamour, confidence and personal greatness via entertainment, royalty and leadership. This transit coincided with the rise of Jazz Music, Hollywood, charismatic celebrities and the vibrant cultural scene of the Roaring 20s. This placement brought the belief that glory and artistic brilliance could elevate society.


1915-1929:


23rd September 1914 - 14th December 1914.
19th July 1915 - 19th March 1916.
2nd May 1916 - 21st September 1928.
19th February 1929 - 24th July 1929.

The Roaring 20s: The 1920s saw a carefree environment, the rise of jazz music and flamboyant fashion styles. This illustrated Neptunian artistic expression and escapism as a form of self-expression (Leo).

6th April 1917: The United States officially entered World War One after it declared war on Germany. This happened almost 3 years of American neutrality at the beginning of the war. This was mythologized (Neptune) as a heroic intervention (Leo) by then US president Woodrow Wilson.

17th June 1917: Charlie Chaplin's film 'The Immigrant' premiered. Chaplin's global fame (Leo) and idealised persona (Neptune) reflected this transits illusionary elevation of stars, celebrities and creativity.

October 1917: The October Revolution happened when Lenin's Bolsheviks seized power from the Provisional Government in Russia. This began the myth (Neptune) of the hero (Leo), Lenin became a Russian icon.

October 1922: Mussolini Marched on Rome, Facism entered European politics via mass spectacle and theatrical leadership (Leo). This led to the fascist leader's rise to power in Italy.

17th April 1924: The Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) film company was founded, this was based in Beverly Hills, California. The 'Leo the Lion' logo became symbolic of the Hollywood dream industry, this was a literal Neptune in Leo emblem.

1924-1929: The Art Deco and modernism movements flourished in architecture and design. This idealised (Neptune), beauty, glory and glamour (Leo).

7th September 1927: Philo Farnsworth made the first successful transmission of a completely electronic television image. This was done by using an image dissector camera tube at a San Francisco laboratory.

6th October 1927: The Jazz Singer premiered, this was the first full-length film with synchronised sound. This marked the beginning of "talked", this combined illusion and fantasy (Neptune) with drama and glamour (Leo).

Neptune in Virgo: detriment position


Neptune in Virgo idealised daily routines, healthcare, logistics, the mundane and the practical. This transit led to the rise of Nazism, the Second World War and the Holocaust in which the notions of purity, cleanliness and order were manipulated. This placement served the delusion that systematic purification could great a "perfect" and orderly society.


1928-1943:


21st September 1928 - 19th February 1929.
24th July 1929 - 3rd October 1942.
17th April 1943 - 2nd August 1943.

29th October 1929: Black Tuesday happened, this happened during the Wall Street Crash and Great Depression. This global financial collapse marked an era of confusion (Neptune) regarding austersity, unemployment and systematic failure (Virgo). This economic dispair led to the rise of authoritarian leader who promised order and efficency (Virgo).

9th March 1933: Roosevelt's New Deal began, these were social and economic reforms aimed to reopen banks and improve the economy following the Great Depression. This brought systemic attempts to heal (Neptune) broken finance via national service and regulation, repair and discipline (Virgo).

25th July 1933: Germany enacted the Law for the Prevention of Hereditarily Diseased Offspring, this legalised compulsory sterilisation. Neptune created an illusion around purity, health and systemic control over bodies.

19th August 1934: Upon the death of Germany's President Hindenburg, Hitler destroyed German democracy and created a dictatorship. He proclaimed himself Führer ("leader") of Germany but from this point he became a dictator. Neptune brought disillusions around lawful strcuture and reorganization as a mask for authoritarianism.

20th January 1942: The Nazi party formalized the 'Final Solution' via administrative strategy. The final solution was orchestrated during World War 2 for the genocide of Jewish people. Genocide was conducted under the disguise (Neptune) of efficiency (Virgo). Precision was turned lethan under delusion.

19th April - 16th May 1943: Jewish people began to resist against Nazi liquidation, their last effor to transport remaining ghetto populations into gas chambers in extermination camps. This brought sacrificial martyrdom (Neptune) of human dignity (Virgo) amidst stategic cruelty.

Neptune in Libra:


Neptune in Libra idealised balance, harmony justice, relationships and equality. This transit coincided with founding of the United Nations in 1945 and the ideal of global peace via diplomacy and cooperation which was soon shattered by the Cold War. This placement brought the illusion that idealised harmony could bring an eventual end to conflict.


1942-1957:


3rd October 1942 - 17th April 1943.
2nd August 1943 - 24th December 1955.
12th March 1956 - 19th October 1956.
15th June 1957 - 6th August 1957.

31st January 1943: Germany surrendered at Stalingrad, this marked an important turning point in World War 2. This transit brought the beginnings of collective justice (Libra) as society stood against fascism.

24th October 1945: The United Nations (UN) was founded, this symolised the dream (Neptune) of glboal peace via shared governance, law and diplomacy (Libra). This placement idealised balance but it was also characterised by illusion and confusion.

20th November 1945: The Nuremberg Trials began when international tribunals prosecuted Nazi leaders for World War 2 crimes, this included the Holocaust. This transit marked a quest for justice and moral equilibrium (Libra) and illusions (Neptune) that legal cases will bring lasting peace.

5th March 1946: Churchill gave his Iron Curtain speech at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. The introduction of the term "Iron Curtain" described Western European and Soviet-dominated Eastern European divisions after World War 2. Neptune brought idealisation on both side but glossed over fear and propaganda.

15th August 1947: India gained independence from British colonial rule after the passing of the Indian Independence Act. The India-Pakistan partition led to destructive violence hidden under ideals (Neptune) of liberation and peaceful coexistance (Libra).

4th April 1949: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization was formed by the US, Canada and Western European nations to ensure collective security against the Soviet Union. This was a partnership between countries (Libra) idealised as an act of peacemaking but a form of Cold War defence.

1951-1955: The television became more popular in the Western world. Libran aesthetics were glamourised and idealised (Neptune) peace, beauty, diplomacy and relationships.

Neptune in Scorpio:

Neptune in Scorpio idealised power, control, destruction, death, taboos, sexuality and transformation. This transit lined up with the Vietnam War and the psychological and moral unraveling of trust in power and authority. This placement brought forth the illusion that healing and rebirth could come from exposing hidden and secret knowledge and controlled destruction.


1955-1070:


3rd October 1942 - 17th April 1943.
2nd August 1943 - 24th December 1955.
12th March 1956 - 19th October 1956.
15th June 1957 - 6th August 1957.

3rd October 1942: the first successful V-2 rocket was launched by Nazi Germany. This was the first man-made object to reach space, it was later used as a weapon.

2nd December 1942: the world's first self-sustaining and controlled nuclear chain reaction was achieved by the University of Chicago. This happened in a makeshift laboratory beneath the university's football stadium, Stagg Field. This marked the beginning of the atomic area, it involved invisible forces (Neptune) and destructive power (Scorpio).

6 & 9 August 1945: the US set off 2 separate atomic bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during the Second World War. This caused death on a mass scale and it transformed geopolitics and human consciousness.

5th September 1945: Soviet defector Igor Gouzenko leaked 109 documents and exposed Soviet espionage activities in the West. His defection and investigation 'the Gouzenko Affair' revealed the Soviet Union's attempts to steal nuclear secrets.

5th March 1946: Winston Churchill delivered his Iron Curtain speech at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. This marked the beginnings of the Cold War polarity, secrecy (Scorpio) and psychological tension.

25th June 1950: The Korean War began when the Northern Korean People's Army invaded South Korea. This began a 3 year conflict between the communist North and the US backed South. It was a brutal conflict with proxy wars, mass death and national division (Scorpio) based on delusion and ideology (Neptune).

1953: The US government launched MK-Ultra, this was a human experimentation program designed by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), they tested LSD and mind control. This was a secret (Scorpio) form of psychological experimentation.

1st March 1954: The US detonated the Castle Bravo hydrogen bomb in the Marshall Islands. This escalated nuclear fears (Neptune) and marked the beginningd of Mutually Assured Destruction (Scorpio).

Neptune in Sagittarius:

Neptune in Sagittarius idealised belief systems, spirituality, philosophy, global travel and higher education. This transit aligned with the rise and fall of organised religion and cults as exemplified by the Jonestown Massacre of 1978. This placement deluded the belief that faith and ideological purity would lead to ultimate truth.


1970-1984:


4th January 1970 - 3rd May 1970.
6th November 1970 - 19th January 1984.
23rd June 1984 - 21st November 1984.

26th March - 16th December 1971: The Bangalesh Liberation War ended, this resulted in a decisive victory for the East Pakistani independence movement. Bangladesh then gained independence from Pakistan. This was a religious (Neptune) conflict with deep ideological (Sagittarius) roots.

22nd January 1973: Roe v. Wade legalised abortion in the United States, this was a significant ideological batttle (Neptune) based on beliefs, morality and religious beliefs (Sagittarius).

30th April 1975: The Fall of Saigon led to the end of the Vietnam War as North Vietnamese forces captured the city. This led to the South Vietnamese government collapsing and communist reunification. This was a collapse of American ideological (Neptune) intervention abroad (Sagittarius).

16th January 1979: The Iranian Revolution exiled the Shah, this was an uprising that led to widespread political unrest due to dissastiffaction with the Shah's rule. This led to an increase in religious fundamentalism (Sagittarius) and theocratic visions.

4th November 1979: The Iran Hostage Crisis happened when between 300-500 Iranian students Iranian students seized the US embay in Tehran and made 52 American diplomats and citzens hostage. This led to ideological conflicts between the US and Islamic revolutionaries.

1st August 1981: MTV was launched, this significantly shaped global culture (Sagittarius) and popularised music videos and influenced visual elements of music and entertainment. Film and music (Neptune) was made available on a global broadcast platform (Sagittarius).

1st September 1983: Korean Air Flight 007 was shot down by the Soviet Union. This was flying from New York to Seoul, it was shot by a Soviet fighter jet after it entered their airspace. This resulted in the death of alll 269 people on board, the location was near Sakhalin Island and it elevated Cold War tensions.

Neptune in Capricorn:


Neptune in Capricorn idealised career, success, status, authority, governments and tradition. This transit brought disillusionment ane confusion regarding power structures and hierarchy as exemplified by the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. This placement dissolved and exposed the limits of rigid and materialistic ambitions.


1984-1998:


19th January 1984 - 23rd June 1984.
21st November 1984 - 29th January 1998.
23rd August 1998 - 28th November 1998.

24th January 1984: The first Apple Macintosh was launched, this was their first personal computer. This introduced the interface and mouse to the mass market. This marked the beginnings of digital idealisation (Neptune) of corporate infrastructure (Capricorn).

5th March 1984: The United Kingdom miner's strike began when workers at the Cortonwood colliery walked out after the Conservative government announced their plan to close pits. This was an ideological clash (Neptune) between Labour unions and government/authority figures (Capricorn). There was a dissolving of working class power structures.

11th March 1985: Mikhail Gorbachev became the USSR leader as he was elected the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. This dissolved the structures of a Soviet Union authoritarian regime.

26th April 1986: The Chernobyl disaster happened, this was a nuclear accident in the Ukranian Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. This occurred due to a issues with the reactor design and inadequate safety measures during a test. There was a fire and explosion, this relased radioactive chemicals into the atmosphere. This revealed challenges in Soviet control and represented illusions (Neptune) with institutional failure (Capricorn).

9th November 1989 - 3rd October 1990: The German Reunification led to the dissolution (Neptune) of Cold War political authority and structures (Capricorn). This eastablished Germany as a single state, the Capital city Berlin was also reunified into one city meaning that it was no longer separated by East and West.

26th December 1991: The Soviet Union dissolved after a failed coup attempt and the declaration of independence by Soviet republics. This dissolving (Neptune) was one of the 20th century's most iconic power structures, this was a major reconsideration of political authority (Capricorn).

7th April - 19th July 1994: The Rwandan genocide happened during the country's Civil War. During a 100 day period, members of the Tutsi, Hutu and Twa populations were murdered by the military. Instituitions (Capricorn) failed to prevent atrocity and the credibility of the United Nations was torn apart.

24th August 1995: Windows 95 was released to manufacturers, this was a significant milestone in global digitalisation and corporate software. Dreams of a digital future (Neptune) combined with corporate systems (Capricorn).

3rd September 1995: Ebay was founded in San Jose, California by Pierre Omidyar. This reflected capitalist (Capricorn) dreams (Neptune). This marked the beginnings of internet advertising, this replaced traditional retail systems.

16th October 1998: Augusto Pinochet was indicted and arrested in London for comitting human rights violations committed in Chile by Baltasar Garzón, a Spanish magistrate. He was placed under house arrest in the London Clinic. Global judicial authority (Capricorn) was tested against sovereign powers.

Neptune in Aquarius: fall position


Neptune in Aquarius idealised networking, technology, science, innovation and group activities. This transit coincided with the rise of the internet, digital culture and social media, for example MySpace (2003) which transformed collective communication via online interaction. This placement served the illusion that innovation alone could solve humanities social challenges.


1998-2012:


29th January 1998 - 23rd August 1998.
28th November 1998 - 4th April 2011.
5th August 2011 - 3rd February 2012.

May 1998: India conducted nuclear tests at the Pokhran Test Range in Rajasthan, this involved 5 nuclear devices being detonated over a 3 day period. Technological influence accelerated under nationalist ideology and spread illusions (Neptune) regarding science, innovation and independence (Aquarius).

25th June 1998: Windows 98 was released to retail, this marked a significant step in the normalisation of technology but also sped up the illusion (Neptune) of technological empowerment (Aquarius).

15th January 2001: The first version of Wikipedia was created by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger. This English edition was released alongside others such as the Wikimedia Foundation, this was an American nonprofit organisation. This allowed knowledge and ideas (Aquarius) to be spread with no boundaries (Neptune).

11th September 2001: The 9/11 terrorist attacks happened, this was characterised as a shattering of collective security illusions. The global surveillance regime was established under the guise of protection (Neptune).

26th October 2001: President George W. Bush passed the United States Patriot Act, this was passed as a response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This act aimed to improve law enforcement and investigative powers within intelligence agencies in the US. It quickly increased data collection and state surveillance (Aquarius) enabled by group fear and distortion (Neptune).

4th February 2004: Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook altohught it was orginally limited to Harvard College students who helped manage the sites growth. This marked the birth of social media on a global scale, it created the illusion (Neptune) of collective identity via screens (Aquarius).

4th October 2006: WikiLeaks was founded by Julian Assange, a non-profit media organisation that published leaked documents and other anonymous media sources. This creation dissolved (Neptune) government action corruption via technology and the internet (Aquarius).

9th January 2007: The first iPhone was unveiled by the Apple CEO Steve Jobs during the Macworld San Francisco keynote address. This marked a major turning point in technology and blurred lines (Neptune) between the human body and the machine (Aquarius).

17th December 2010: Mohamed Bouazizi, a Tunisian man set himself on fire during a protested after a public humilitation in which his wares were confiscated. This act of self-immolation triggered the Arab Spring and resulted in a series of protests driven by group disillusionment (Neptune) and social media (Aquarius). This event led to mass revolutionary movements in the Middle East.

Neptune in Pisces idealised unity, compassion, spirituality, artistic ability, dissolving boundaries and escapism. This transit coincided with the rise of empathetic social movements, the Me Too movement, climate activism. However, it also aligned with the COVID-19 pandemic and accompanying conspiracies. This placement exposed the delusion that boundless compassion and idealism would solve global crisis and injustice.

2015: The Syrian refugee crisis peaked, this was a significant humanitarian tragedy. Displaced populations led to a collapse of boundaries (Neptune) on the realm of the sea (Pisces is a water sign).

8th November 2016: Donald Trump was elected the United States president for the first time, this led to a political increase of conspiracy theories, illusion and personality cults. This event distorted reality (Neptune) and led to the rise of a post-truth era and confusion (Pisces) at the societal level.

11th March 2020: The World Health Organisation declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, this brought into public awareness an invisible enemy and spread global fear and led to mass isolation (Pisces) and insitutional illusions (Neptune).

26th May 2020: The murder of George Floyd by American police led to Black Lives Matter protests across the United States. This event carried themes of collective grief and compassion. It highlighted racial healing and resistance against institutions combining hope (Neptune) and despair (Pisces).

6th January 2021: The United States Capitol insurrection happened when lies led to mass delusion (Neptune) via religion, ideals and fantasy (Pisces). This event signficantly eroded rational consensus.
