From 26th April 2026 - 22nd May 2033, Uranus will be in Gemini whilst Neptune will be in  Aries.

This parallels the American Civil War (1861-65)

From 13th April 1861 - 27th March 1866, Uranus was in Gemini whilst Neptune was in Aries.

Important note:

No single astrological moment is identical! The outer planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) are never in the same signs at different times!

Neptune and Uranus are in the same signs now but our reality is different to the 1860s!

1861-62: The Civil War began:

Saturn in Virgo formed a challenging square to Uranus in Gemini clashing mass communication and information networks (telegraphs, printing) with rigid  boundaries imposed around labour systems, work routines and economic control.

1862-63: Idealised Conflict vs Strict Justice:

Saturn in Libra formed an opposition to Neptune in Aries, challenging idealised independence, heroism, and righteous war. Collective fantasies of decisive victory (Neptune in Aries) were confronted by the realities of law, justice, and human cost (Saturn in Libra). This brought mass disillusionment (Neptune) with systems of justice (Saturn).

NOTE: there were more aspects than this, only those with Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries are included.

• 1864 & 1865: Saturn in Libra trine Uranus in Gemini (Air).

1861 vs 2026: The Differences

During the American Civil War (1861-65), there was a mixed bag of challenging and harmonious aspects to Saturn. Uranus formed a series of supportive trines to Saturn and sextile to Neptune.

Saturn governs rules, regulations, authorities, the law and tradition whilst Uranus is associated with change, revolutions, uprisings., science and technology.

Unlike the 1861-66 period, all the outer planets will form harmonious aspects with each other.
